What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor position at The Presbyterian Church in Geneva?
Duties:
- Keep church building clean and well-maintained, following established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
- Track inventory of janitorial supplies.
- Report any repairs needed.
- Supervise the Assistant Janitor, as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
Typical Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to operate floor care equipment, such as buffers and carpet cleaners.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to maintain a weekly schedule of janitorial tasks and complete them as scheduled.
- Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors.
