Toddler Teacher

Job Summary
We are looking for someone to fill a Teacher position working within the hours of 6:30am-6:00pm.

The Premier School of Pickerington provides early care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 10 years old. To be considered for this position we prefer you have 1 year of experience. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children, particularly in a childcare setting. This role involves supporting other teachers in creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that fosters the growth and development of all children.

Responsibilities

• Participate fully in routine care and responsibilities in relation to assigned children.
• Supervise children that are in your care making safety a priority.
• Maintain proper student/teacher ratios at all times.
• Maintain a sanitary classroom environment.
• Prepare and maintain a safe and stimulating environment for children at all times.
• Working as a team with the other Teachers in the assigned classroom so that duties are shared.
• Working as a team member in the daily operations of the center's activities.
• Keeping accurate and current records (i.e.. Attendance records, incident reports) as required by the center.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of a physical examination
• Clear background check
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse populations.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all students.
• Relevant certifications or coursework in education or child development is desirable.
• Preferred: Experience in childcare

Pay: $11.50 - $12.00 per hour
