Responsibilities
- Design and implement dynamic lesson plans tailored to the developmental stages of two-year-olds, incorporating early literacy education, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Foster a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs through clear communication and regular updates on progress.
- Lead classroom activities that encourage language development, motor skills, and early numeracy using Montessori methods and other evidence-based practices.
- Monitor and document each child's growth using standardized testing tools and observational assessments to inform instruction.
- Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with compassion and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, childcare standards, and early childhood education best practices while maintaining a clean and organized learning environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children aged two years old in a preschool or daycare setting; prior classroom management experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and sensory activities suitable for toddlers.
- Familiarity with special education needs and inclusive teaching practices to support diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Certification in early childhood education or a related field; Montessori training or preschool certification is highly desirable.
