Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. You will interact with various breeds and temperaments, ensuring their well-being while maintaining a clean and organized space. This position requires a love for animals and the ability to handle them effectively.
MUST BE AVAILABLE MORNING/AFTERNOON SHIFTS
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including cleaning up after the dogs and sanitizing play equipment.
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or accidents.
- Provide basic training commands to dogs as needed, reinforcing positive behavior.
- Assist with feeding, administering medications, and providing general care for the dogs.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their dog's behavior and any concerns that may arise.
- Perform heavy lifting as required when moving supplies or assisting with larger dogs.
Experience
Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Dog training or handling experience is highly desirable.
- Veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus.
- Previous work in pet grooming, pet sitting, or kennel environments is beneficial.
- Strong background in animal care and handling, including animal restraint techniques.
