The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is looking for a Part-Time Host to join our team! A beautiful Historic Hotel of America located in the heart of Portland's Old Port District.
Part-Time benefits include Sick Time. All employees receive HHA Discounts, Fitness Center use, Uniform, Parking, and Employee Meal. 401k plan with a match after one year.
The schedule will primarily be mornings, days, and weekends are a must. Potential to pick up support/food runner shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
Host/ess:
- Responsible for hanging the Specials Board for outside display.
- Responsible for greeting and escorting guests to their table, providing menus, assisting guests with their chairs, water, and coffee (a.m. only).
- Checking and hanging guests’ coats if necessary.
- Answer the telephone and assist with dining room reservations.
- At all times, you are responsible for helping the server’s bus/set tables.
- Responsible for keeping the host station clean, including checking and replacing soiled menus.
- Assists servers in changing over tables for the next meal period.
- Always maintain your post at the podium.
- A friendly, professional demeanor and passion for hospitality.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.

- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Comfortable writing basic reports or messages and speaking confidently with customers or colleagues.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible morning shifts, including weekends.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent talking, hearing, and use of hands and arms; occasional climbing or balancing.
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Must be able to adjust focus and have close and distance vision.
- May be exposed to wet or humid conditions, heat, and kitchen equipment.
- Moderate noise levels typical of a restaurant environment.
