About the role:
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, board-certified or board-eligible Ophthalmologist to join a comprehensive Ophthalmology practice within a well-established multispecialty clinic. This role includes the medical and surgical management of a wide range of ocular conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. You will work alongside optometrists and other specialties in a team-based environment with access to on-site optical, diagnostic imaging (OCT, VF), and our ASC for surgical procedures. With Portland’s aging, health-aware population and proximity to OHSU, this is a unique opportunity to practice at the forefront of eye care while building a legacy in a growing department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive eye care and surgical management in a collaborative outpatient setting
- Access advanced diagnostics and perform ophthalmic surgeries at affiliated ASC facilities
- Coordinate care with PCPs, etc , especially in diabetic retinopathy and chronic eye disease
- Serve a highly engaged, aging patient base in a region home to high-tech innovation
- Advance quality improvement initiatives in vision preservation and access equity
- Productivity expectations align with MGMA medians
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in relevant specialty
- Unrestricted Oregon medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Commitment to equity, kindness, teamwork, and excellent clinical care
- Competitive base salary $430,000
- $100,000 sign-on bonus, paid in four installments over the first year ($25,000 each)
- Two-year guaranteed base salary
- Productivity incentives and value-based bonuses
- Predictable weekday schedule (no inpatient or call unless noted)
