This position is located on-site at our Office of Medical Services located at 241 Erie Street Jersey City, NJ 07310

Minimum: $110,474 Midpoint: $143,613 Maximum: $176,748
In accordance with Port Authority policy, this position permits employees to work remotely a maximum of one day per week, subject to operational and business needs.

Responsibilities
- The Physician Assistant’s tasks shall include, but are not limited to the following for all Port Authority/PATH employees, including new hires:
- Performing assessments in connection with injury-on-duty evaluations
- Performing job fitness for duty examinations upon request
- Annual physical examinations
- Conducting DOT and non-DOT pre-placement/promotional physicals, OSHA and federally mandated examinations as required.
- Performing assessments in connection with workplace injury evaluations according to New York State and New Jersey Workers ’ Compensation guidelines
- Monitoring performance of required medical screenings to ensure timely completion
- Ensuring that employees are appropriately returned to duty from an injury on duty or job fitness evaluation within industry standards
- Responding to medical emergencies and providing health safety programs for Port Authority/PATH employees
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Possess a minimum of one (1) year to two (2) of clinical experience in occupational medicine, emergency medicine, urgent care or related field
- Possess a valid license to practice medicine in either the State of New York or the State of New Jersey, in compliance with the assigned work location
- Nurse Practitioner must possess a New York State Nursing License, Registered Professional Nurse or New Jersey Nursing License – Registered Nurse (RN)
- Knowledge of OSHA, Workers Compensation and relevant federal regulations
- Certified Medical Review Officer (MRO)
- Certified by the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners to perform CDL medical examinations
- Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork skills
