What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Manager/lifeguard position at The Pool Therapist?
The Pool Manager is directly responsible to The Pool Therapist Management for all duties pertaining to the management of the pool during its use by residents and their guests.
Qualifications:
The Pool Manager must have knowledge of water purification's methods and hold a current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. Managers must have current CPR training with AED (automatic external defibrillator) at the time they begin working. He/She should have the ability to supervise and direct personnel and to deal with the public.
Duties:
- Enforce all rules and regulation for the operations and administration of the pool as set down by The Pool Therapist Management.
- Take all chemical readings, hourly, to insure pool cleanliness. Log same.
- Insures maximum possible safety, health and recreation to all persons using the pool. Performs daily facility clean up.
- Holds daily and weekly inspections of the pool operations. Recommends and takes corrective action when needed.
- Schedules work times for all pool personnel. Keep all necessary records including chemical readings and break charts.
- Will insure that all Pool Therapist employees arrive at the facility on time and are in proper uniform. Should curtail all cell phone use.
- Closes the pool whenever the safety or health of the patrons is endangered. (i.e. thunder storm, severe rain, etc.)
- Acts as lifeguard whenever the pool load or emergencies require additional guarding.
- Compensation is based on experience

Experience:
- Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)
- Supervising experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Management: 1 year (Preferred)
