For 19 years, The Pool Keepers has provided superior pool cleaning, maintenance, and repair services throughout the Emerald Coast and 30A. We are a locally owned company serving residential and commercial customers and are known for quality work, dependable service, and taking pride in every pool we maintain.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing pool service and repair company. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing our pool technicians, service routes, customer experience, quality control, and daily office and field operations.

The ideal candidate has strong operational and people-management skills, hands-on experience in the pool service industry, and is willing to step in wherever needed to keep the business running smoothly.

ResponsibilitiesOperations & Team Leadership

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pool cleaning and service business
• Supervise, support, and hold pool cleaning technicians accountable for service quality and performance
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and development of new technicians
• Conduct field inspections and quality-control checks to ensure pools are being serviced to company standards
• Coach technicians on proper pool cleaning, water chemistry, equipment inspections, documentation, and customer service
• Help identify performance issues and implement solutions
• Coordinate technician coverage for call-outs, vacations, schedule changes, and unexpected service needs
• Maintain an organized and efficient daily operation as the company continues to grow

Routes, Scheduling & Skimmer

• Manage and optimize pool service routes using Skimmer
• Schedule and assign new customers to appropriate routes
• Make route adjustments as accounts, staffing, and service needs change
• Monitor route completion, technician productivity, service documentation, and customer notes
• Ensure service visits, photos, readings, and other required information are properly documented in Skimmer
• Assist with training all technicians on the effective use of Skimmer
• Lead the implementation and adoption of Company-approved Skimmer products, features, and applications to improve operational efficiency, service quality, technician accountability, and the overall success of the Company
• Help improve route efficiency while maintaining high service standards

Customer Service

• Answer office phones and assist with incoming customer calls as needed
• Respond to customer questions, concerns, and service issues promptly and professionally
• Handle escalated customer concerns and determine appropriate solutions
• Communicate with residential and commercial customers regarding service, scheduling, repairs, and other operational needs
• Follow up on service issues to ensure they have been resolved
• Build strong relationships with customers and help maintain a high level of customer retention

Field & Emergency Support

• Be willing and able to work in the field
• Respond to urgent customer or pool-service issues
• Visit properties to troubleshoot service or quality concerns
• Assist technicians with difficult pool conditions, water chemistry, equipment issues, or other field challenges
• Provide additional route or service coverage when necessary
• Coordinate with the repair team when equipment issues are identified

Office & Administrative Operations

• Assist with QuickBooks and basic bookkeeping functions as needed
• Support customer billing, payments, account questions, and collections as needed
• Maintain accurate customer and operational records
• Coordinate ordering and inventory of pool chemicals, cleaning supplies, equipment, and other materials
• Help maintain appropriate inventory levels and reduce unnecessary waste
• Assist with fleet organization, technician equipment, uniforms, and operational supplies
• Work closely with ownership on staffing, customer issues, operational priorities, and opportunities for improvement

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on pool service and pool maintenance experience is required
• Strong working knowledge of pool water chemistry, cleaning procedures, and common pool equipment is required
• Pool equipment troubleshooting and repair experience strongly preferred
• Previous supervisory, management, or pool-service business ownership experience preferred
• Experience managing or supporting pool service technicians and routes preferred
• Commercial pool experience preferred
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, and hold team members accountable
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable learning and working with Skimmer and other business software
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred
• Strong customer-service skills and comfortable communicating with customers both by phone and in person
• Able to prioritize multiple issues and make decisions in a fast-paced service environment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Able and willing to work outdoors and visit customer properties as needed
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently

What We're Looking For

This is not a desk-only management position. We are looking for someone with real pool industry experience who can lead the operation while also being willing to answer a customer call, reorganize a route, train a technician, inspect a pool, troubleshoot a service issue, or head into the field when something needs immediate attention.

The right person will take ownership of the daily operation, support and develop our technicians, provide excellent service to our customers, and help The Pool Keepers continue to grow while maintaining the quality and dependability our customers expect.
