What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter - Skilled position at the Polynesian Cultural Center?
Performs carpentry skills to build and repair buildings and other structures in the style necessary for the Polynesian Cultural Center. Works with sennit rope, poles, pola and lau to maintains the cultural appearance. Works on projects involving the construction of new buildings and facilities and the alteration of or the modification of existing ones.
Essential Functions:
- Builds new structures and hardscape, repairs current structures and hardscape, as required to maintain the safety, cultural function, and appearance needed at the Polynesian Cultural Center.
- Adds to and updates work order system with information, images and documentation on progress of work being performed.
- Maintains power tools and equipment.
- Ensures that building materials and supplies are on hand for work orders.
