Position Overview:

We are seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic Group Fitness Instructor to lead fun, safe, and results-driven classes across a variety of formats. From strength and cardio to yoga, Pilates, dance fitness, and more, this role is essential in fostering community, inspiring healthy lifestyles, and elevating the member experience. The ideal candidate brings both skill and personality to the studio, creating a welcoming and motivational environment for all fitness levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engaging and safe group fitness classes according to industry standards and class format guidelines.

• Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participants of all levels to feel successful and motivated.

• Arrive prepared and at least 10 minutes early to greet members, set up the studio, and test equipment.

• Provide clear instruction, proper cueing, and appropriate exercise modifications and progressions.

• Foster strong relationships with members by learning names, offering encouragement, and engaging before and after class.

• Promote upcoming classes, club events, and fitness offerings to increase member participation and retention.

• Maintain cleanliness, proper storage, and appropriate use of studio equipment.

• Ensure all music and microphone usage aligns with club standards and enhances the class experience.

• Serve as a positive representative of the fitness department and uphold all facility and safety policies.

• Notify management promptly of any equipment issues, safety concerns, or scheduling conflicts.

• Be willing to substitute classes and support fellow instructors as needed.

Preferred Formats (but not limited to):

Yoga, Pilates, Barre, Strength, HIIT, Cardio Dance, Core Conditioning, Functional Training, Aqua Fitness, Stretch & Recovery

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to demonstrate a wide range of movements at a moderate to high intensity.

• Comfortable with frequent standing, moving, lifting equipment, bending, and reaching.

• Able to maintain energy and vocal projection throughout a class duration.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Current Group Fitness Certification from a nationally accredited organization (e.g., ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM, or specialized format certification).

• Minimum of 1–2 years of group instruction experience preferred.

• CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.

• Proficiency in using sound systems, microphones, and studio equipment.

• Familiarity with fitness software or scheduling tools is a plus.

• Passion for wellness and a commitment to inspiring others through movement.

Salary : $45 - $55
