What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer position at The Plaza Rehab and Nursing Center?
Offer all assistance possible to guest in a pleasant manner •Maintain a high visibility presence• Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment• Request emergency personnel for any high-risk situation if necessary• Observe and report suspicious activity• Team oriented and dedicated to providing excellent service• Must be flexible to work nights and weekends •Strong attention to detail• Prevent residents unauthorized exit of the premises at all times •Maintain order and access control at the facility entrances• Monitor visitor’s access and maintain security awareness• Ability to handle crisis situation calmly and efficiently• Assist and respond to emergency door alarm activations whenever necessary• Assist with providing door access throughout the facility for personnel whenever necessary •Assist with dropping off food or personal items from family relatives/visitors, to their respective nursing units •Display exceptional customer service and communication skills• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time •Employee may not distract themselves at any time while on duty under any circumstances •Engaging in personal conversations while on duty is prohibited •Employee may be required to cover visitation areas to assist with access control and to ensure facility is in compliance with current DOH regulations
