Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The TA will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate curricula and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, including social skills, language development, and motor skills.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring their inclusion in all activities.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff through effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Child Development Associate Certification (CDA)
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Experience with classroom management techniques to create an effective learning environment.
- First aid certification is highly desirable; training may be provided if not currently certified.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging activities that promote learning through play and exploration.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.43 - $25.81 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
