What You Will Do Working under the direct supervision of the Transportation Specialist and Site Director, your core responsibilities include:
- Ensure Safety: Maintain strict supervision and safety protocols for children during boarding, transit, and drop-off.
- Build Relationships: Establish positive, effective connections with children, families, and staff members.
- Maintain Compliance: Keep absolute confidentiality regarding student and family information at all times.
- Foster a Nurturing Environment: Serve as a positive, supportive adult role model for children during their daily commute.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- ECE Training: Coursework in Early Childhood Education, or a willingness to complete it within 30 days of hire.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience working with young children.
- Mobility: Ability to physically move around the building, the bus, and outdoors.
- Physical Strength: Ability to safely lift children up to 50 pounds.
- Physical Agility: Ability to kneel, squat, and move easily to a standing position from a low chair or the floor.
- Screening: Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting prior to hire.
