Operations Team Lead

We’re looking for a dynamic, organized, and people-focused leader to oversee daily operations, manage a vibrant team, and ensure exceptional experiences for families at our children’s play facility, The Play Place. This role, Family Experience Manager, combines leadership, customer service, event planning, and project management — ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment surrounded by kids, parents, and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Oversee daily operations of afterschool programs, birthday parties, and special events.
• Manage scheduling, staffing, and team communication to ensure smooth operations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for parents, resolving concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Collaborate with ownership/management on strategic goals and process improvements.
• Track and report KPIs related to customer satisfaction, program participation, and team performance.
• Ensure the facility meets safety, cleanliness, and quality standards at all times.

Qualifications

• 2 years of leadership or management experience (preferably in childcare, recreation, hospitality, or education).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to engage with children, parents, and team members effectively.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
• Calm and confident in de-escalating situations and solving problems quickly.
• Highly organized, dependable, and proactive.
• Weekend and evening availability required for events and programs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
