Position Overview
The Spa Manager oversees all spa operations across aesthetics, injectables, functional wellness, and lymphatic services. This is a leadership role responsible for patient experience, staff performance, operational organization, and adherence to clinical and brand standards.
This role requires a strong people leader—someone who is confident, emotionally intelligent, operationally strong, and capable of guiding licensed providers in a high-end, fast-paced environment. The Spa Manager ensures seamless workflows, exceptional service, and a consistent, professional atmosphere.
This position is FULL TIME and ONSITE required.
Key ResponsibilitiesPeople Leadership
- Supervise, hire, train, and—when needed—separate employees while maintaining kindness, fairness, and clarity.
- Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence, practicing direct communication, active listening, and blameless problem-solving.
- Hold providers and staff accountable to standards, protocols, and expectations.
Operational Excellence
- Conduct daily spa walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, ambiance, equipment readiness, and seamless operations.
- Maintain deep knowledge of spa procedures, protocols, products, technologies, and treatment guidelines.
- Manage scheduling, patient flow, provider coverage, and daily spa operations.
Financial Management
- Manage budget, payroll, and supply ordering.
- Ensure profitability and cost control.
- Prepare and present reports outlining key performance indicators (KPIs), revenue trends, expenses, and operational insights.
Strategic Planning
- Recommend improvements to services, workflows, staffing, and patient experience based on data and performance metrics.
- Support innovation, training programs, and growth initiatives.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure licensing, certifications, and regulatory requirements are fully met at all times.
- Uphold brand standards, company values, and confidentiality expectations.
Inventory & Supplies
- Oversee all spa inventory, maintaining adequate levels and preventing supply shortages.
Conflict Resolution
- Resolve provider disputes and patient concerns with professionalism and tact while protecting the business’s financial and operational integrity.
Relationship Building
- Maintain strong relationships with providers, team members, leadership, and vendor reps.
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in all interactions.
Administrative Duties
- Manage scheduling, patient charts, phone inquiries, documentation, and day-to-day administrative needs with accuracy and efficiency.
Professional Development
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Seek ongoing educational opportunities that elevate spa quality and performance.
Initiative & Leadership
- Identify gaps, anticipate needs, and take proactive action—even without direction.
- Step into whatever role is needed to maintain a smooth, high-performance spa.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of leadership or management experience in medical aesthetics, healthcare, wellness, or a luxury/high-touch service environment
- Proven ability to lead licensed clinical providers
- Strong operational and systems-thinking background
- Experience managing performance metrics and team outcomes
- High emotional intelligence and conflict-management skills
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and follow-through
- Comfort with budgets, payroll, and performance reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- Master Esthetician license or advanced medical aesthetics background
- Experience in structured training programs, academies, or education
- Multi-location, expansion, or growth-stage leadership experience
- Track record in revenue growth, retention strategies, or service optimization
