Position Overview:
A Master Aesthetician is a licensed skincare professional who provides expert skin treatments, such as facials, hair removal, and other advanced procedures, to help clients maintain optimal skin health. In this role, you will conduct consultations, explain treatment options, guide clients through the process, and perform treatments while delivering a personalized, world-class experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consultations: Perform thorough consultations and facial assessments while providing service that’s memorable and worthy of emulation. Educate clients on pre- and post-care guidelines for any esthetic treatment. In each consultation, listen attentively to understand patient concerns and recommend the most suitable products and treatments tailored to their needs.
- Esthetic Treatments: Safely and skillfully perform a wide range of treatments, including but not limited to: BBL, MOXI, microneedling, chemical peels, dermaplaning, facials, and laser hair reduction. Ensure adherence to spa guidelines and protocols, while working within your scope of practice at all times.
- Product Sales: Discuss and recommend products confidently, focusing on the patient’s needs and desires. Embrace change and innovation, staying up to date on new products and technologies introduced in the spa.
- Patient Communication: Build lasting, professional relationships with patients and colleagues by practicing discretion, professionalism, and empathy. Always prioritize the privacy and dignity of patients, and establish trust through professional, thoughtful communication.
- Patient Follow-Up: Be proactive in following through on commitments. Check in with patients after treatments or product recommendations to ensure their satisfaction. Stay dedicated to responsiveness, ensuring every patient feels supported after their visit.
- Exercise Emotional Intelligence: Apply emotional intelligence to manage your own emotions positively, reduce stress, and enhance your ability to communicate effectively with both patients and colleagues. Use empathy to build strong, positive relationships.
- Additional Duties: Manage your esthetic schedule, complete patient charting, prebook appointments, maintain cleanliness and organization in treatment rooms, and assist with laundry. Ensure all rooms are fully stocked and prepared for each treatment. Track daily sales to contribute to the spa’s success.
- Social Media Engagement: Promote patient retention and personal growth through engaging social media content. Take before-and-after photos, create content that reflects your personality, and enjoy the process! Posting requirements include 2 posts per week, 1 story per week for openings, and 2 educational stories (about products or treatments).
- Stay Current: Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, and participating in professional networks and societies. Look for growth opportunities in every aspect of your work.
- Communication: Communicate ideas and concerns openly and assertively with the lead aesthetician and spa director. Be honest, kind, and direct, while maintaining fairness and respect in all interactions. Collaborate with your coworkers, embracing their ideas and working together to bring them to life. Always accept responsibility, practice blameless problem-solving, and offer genuine feedback and compliments.
- Take Initiative: Proactively address tasks and responsibilities when guidance isn’t immediately available. Maximize your time by seeking out ways to contribute, accepting responsibility when needed, and holding yourself accountable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Master Aesthetician license in Utah.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Master Aesthetician.
- Extensive knowledge of skincare treatments and products.
