The Groundsman is responsible for the maintenance of the main campus and beach properties at The Plantation in Ponte Vedra Beach. This includes mowing, trimming, edging, blowing and weeding of landscape beds, pruning of hedges and trees, irrigation checks and the installation of mulch. Must be customer service orientated and comfortable interacting with homeowners and management daily.

- Must be adaptable and have a "can do mentality"
- Inspect, install and maintain all plant material, mulch and sod
- Fertilize lawns and shrubs as directed
- Perform irrigation system maintenance .
- Perform sprinkler and storm drain checks.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and operational.
- Operate Department vehicles, trailers, and work carts.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to communicate with all team members
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday (7:00 AM- 3:30 PM) With an occasional Saturday work schedule due to inclement weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills
- High personal attendance standards
- Ability to focus under pressure and maintain a professional atmosphere
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Experience in landscaping and grounds preferred
- Knowledge in the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.

The employee regularly comes into contact with water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items. The employee is frequently required to wash hands. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
