Purchasing & Data Coordinator

The Plant Company (TPC) grows premium tropical houseplants for retailers nationwide and is a proud Proven Winners® leafjoy® partner.

We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Purchasing & Data Coordinator to support our purchasing and scheduling teams. You’ll create purchase orders, maintain accurate system data, and document processes that help our teams work efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Create and update purchase orders and shipment information.

• Enter, review, and maintain accurate product, vendor, purchasing, and production data.

• Follow up with team members to resolve missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information.

• Assist with routine ERP transactions, reports, dashboards, Monday.com updates, and data cleanup.

• Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), step-by-step instructions, and electronic records.

The work includes lifting and carrying up to 15 pounds, standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and walking short distances.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with repetitive data entry.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and comfort learning new systems and workflows.

• Excel skills, including filtering, sorting, and basic formulas.

• Ability to document processes and create clear instructions using Microsoft Word and tools such as Scribe.

• Ability to follow established processes, recognize when information doesn’t make sense, and ask questions when requirements are unclear.

• Good communication, organization, time management, and dependable follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

• Experience entering and maintaining data in an ERP system.

• Experience with Monday.com or similar workflow-management tools.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous administrative, data-entry, purchasing, inventory, or operations support experience preferred.
