Contract Opportunity | 6 Months | $40–$45/hr | Onsite – New York, NY
Are you an IT professional who enjoys both end-user support and driving technology initiatives? We're looking for a well-rounded IT Support Specialist who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys solving technical challenges, and is eager to take ownership of projects that improve the employee experience.
This role offers a unique blend of 50% Helpdesk support and 50% IT project work, making it ideal for someone who wants to move beyond traditional desktop support and contribute to strategic technology initiatives.
What You'll DoProvide exceptional technical support through deskside assistance and collaboration tools.
Manage the full lifecycle of company-issued laptops and devices, including onboarding, offboarding, upgrades, and provisioning.
Administer core SaaS platforms, including Google Workspace and Atlassian tools.
Support conference room technology, printers, networking, and end-user connectivity.
Implement and maintain IT security and compliance policies.
Monitor IT operations and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and automation.
Partner with leadership to help execute the organization's IT roadmap.
Deliver a high level of customer service while supporting employees across the organization.
Mobile Device Management (MDM) rollout
Enterprise password management implementation
Conference room technology upgrades
Laptop fleet provisioning and lifecycle management
Process automation and infrastructure improvements
Additional IT initiatives that enhance security, scalability, and operational efficiency
4 years of experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, Helpdesk, or Systems Administration.
Experience supporting Google Workspace (G Suite).
Experience administering Okta.
Strong troubleshooting skills across laptops, conferencing technology, printers, networking, and user access.
Experience managing or leading IT projects or owning significant project workstreams.
Experience managing laptop fleets and endpoint lifecycle management (MDM experience preferred).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Self-starter who takes initiative and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement.
Experience with Atlassian products (Jira and Confluence).
Experience with Rippling or similar workforce management platforms.
Experience creating or maintaining IT security policies and procedures.
Vendor management experience.
Experience supporting compliance initiatives such as PCI, HIPAA, or similar frameworks.
We're seeking someone who goes beyond resolving tickets. The ideal candidate takes ownership, works independently, and naturally identifies opportunities to improve processes and technology. You should be comfortable leading projects, coordinating with stakeholders, and driving work forward with minimal supervision.
