Azure DevOps (ADO) Administrator & Governance
Onsite 3 days per week in DFW, TX - T/W/TH onsite in DFW
$65-70 per hour range
W2 Contract starting at 6 months
Position Overview
The Azure DevOps (ADO) Subject Matter Expert (SME) (Admin / Gov) plays a key role in optimizing the organization's use of Azure DevOps to improve work management, enhance project visibility, and support standardized delivery practices. This position collaborates with the PMO, Product Operations, IT, and business stakeholders to drive platform adoption, establish governance, create executive-level reporting, and perform configuration and administrative support within Azure DevOps.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Azure DevOps dashboards, reports, queries, and analytics that deliver actionable insights for leadership and delivery teams.
- Drive Azure DevOps adoption by implementing best practices, standardized workflows, governance frameworks, and performance metrics.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to enhance project, portfolio, product management, and work management processes.
- Administer and support Azure DevOps projects, Boards, work item configurations, dashboards, and platform settings.
- Develop training resources, provide user support, and lead continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and platform enhancements.
What You Bring
- 5 years of Azure DevOps administration/support experience in large enterprise environments.
- Proven expertise building Azure DevOps dashboards, analytics, queries, and executive reporting solutions.
- Hands-on experience configuring Azure DevOps projects, Boards, work item processes, and platform features.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), governance, platform adoption, and business process improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, training, and analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into Azure DevOps solutions.
