Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Part-time/Seasonal Fireplace Technician to join our team! In this role, you will perform installation, maintenance, and repair services on a variety of fireplaces, stoves, and related products.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair various types of gas fireplaces.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on fireplace units to ensure optimal performance.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and some schematics reading to accurately complete installations and repairs.
• Assist with the setup of related components such as hearth accessories, fireplace doors, gas logs, and hearth surrounds.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to local codes during all installation and repair activities.
• Communicate effectively with customers about service procedures and safety instructions.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed for each service call.

Experience

• Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools
• Hands on knowledge of some plumbing and electrical systems
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently in client's homes

Prerequisite Skills and Background Requirements: Mechanical and electrical knowledge/skills. Multimeter understanding. Experienced with use of hand tools and light power tools. We will train on the hearth industry but you need to come in with basics and experience with repairing things. Computer keyboarding ability mandatory. Job often requires being on your knees to work on low fireplaces but overall it is an "easy on your body" mechanical job

Note: We perform background, driving record, credit, and drug testing before hiring. You must be insurable and bond-able to be eligible for hire.

Schedule: Flexible schedule between 8am to 6pm any day except Sunday. Most Saturdays off but seasonal overtime is available on Saturdays. Our busy season is Sept - March so we have flexibility in the early spring and summer.

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
