What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Or Full Time Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) position at The Pixie Project?
The Pixie Project is seeking a professional and enthusiastic Certified Veterinary Technician to join our diverse team on a Part-Time or Full-Time basis. The Pixie Project is a Non-Profit Animal Rescue that operates a Low-Cost Veterinary Clinic. Our team of certified professionals perform affordable spay/neuter surgeries and provide a variety of miscellaneous veterinary services to assist pet owners with maintaining the health and happiness of their animals.
We are looking for an individual who is focused and detail-oriented, that can thrive as part of a high-volume, fast-paced surgery team. Ideal candidates for this position will be passionate about our spay/neuter program, and have a proven understanding of safe/humane animal handling and veterinary technical skills.
This is a “At-Will” position, and the rate of pay is $28 hourly; scheduling will depend on planned surgery days that will include occasional Saturdays as needed.
Qualified applicants must be comfortable working in an office, shelter and clinic environment with animals of varying ages, health statuses and temperaments. Applicants should have proficiencies in using computers, telephones/smart phones, and email. We will provide the necessary training applicable to your position, but exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential.
At least one of the following certifications are required:
-Certified Veterinary Technician
-Certified Euthanasia Technician
