The Store Sales Associate is a key member of the US Commercial team and plays an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Store Sales Associate helps drive sales success while maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-focused store environment.
The starting pay rate for this role is $16.00/hour
This position is scheduled within typical store hours:
- Monday – Friday: 7am – 5pm
- Saturday: 8am – 12pm
- Sunday: Closed
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions
- Assist retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and order processing
- Mix, tint, and match paint products according to customer specifications
- Build knowledge of Pittsburgh Paints Company brands, products, and store processes
- Process customer orders and payments through phone, in-person, online, and email channels
- Support sales initiatives and contribute to achieving store sales goals
- Load, drive, and deliver customer orders via company vehicle
- Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when needed
- Safely handle, load, unload, and organize products for stocking and order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
- Support daily store operations and team priorities as needed
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license required, must pass all background items and physical
- Customer service experience preferred with a team-focused approach
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers in a professional manner
- Ability to use a computer and keyboard for order processing and customer support
- Ability to work scheduled hours as needed, including flexibility based on business needs
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40–60 pounds routinely, including standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to operate a hand truck and/or material handling equipment
