As an Inventory Optimization Planner, you will be the key consultant to business leaders ensuring adequate information is received from customers, sales, marketing, and other sources to construct appropriate demand and sales forecasts.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish metrics to determine bias and drive improvement in forecast accuracy.
- Ensure inventory level optimization to minimize cost.
- Review reason codes and work with stores daily to fine tune replenishment parameters
- Carry out safety stock and inventory optimization strategies with the planning tool to enable a demand driven replenishment process. Supports network optimization and supply chain projects to optimized inventory levels.
- Pull data from SAP, Microsoft Access, and SAP BI/Power BI when necessary to provide inventory analysis and to plan store sales meetings.
- Maintain planning system/software by entering and modifying data, ensuring correctness and managing parameters that affect integrity of the POS forecast.
- Creates, monitors and acts against key performance indicators: forecast accuracy measures including MAPE, bias, trend consumption tracking, replenishment order acceptance, SLOB inventory, inventory targets and SKU in-stocks.
- Work proactively with store sales teams to ensure inventory/forecast needs.
- Prepares and maintains relevant reports as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Inventory, Supply, or Demand planning.
- Self-directed/motivated and drive for sales results required.
- Proficient in SAP, MS Excel and Access.
- Excellent time management/prioritization skills, strong oral and written presentation skills.
- APICS certification as a CPIM preferred.
