Job Summary

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Upsell menu items including wine, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Handle all sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and POS operations
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations; assist with food handling and basic food preparation when needed
• Support food runners and kitchen staff by bussing tables, resetting stations, and ensuring smooth flow of service during high-volume periods
• Build rapport with guests through excellent guest relations skills, addressing inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with high-volume dining experience
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable reservations system is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation, wine pairing, spirits, and cocktail making is highly desirable
• Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy shifts
• Solid understanding of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent communication skills combined with a friendly attitude to foster guest satisfaction and team collaboration
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as required in a fast-paced restaurant setting

Pay: $23.10 - $27.82 per hour
