What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Nursing (DON) position at The Pines Rehabilitation and Health Center?
KingdomKare is seeking a qualified and motivated Director of Nursing to lead the nursing team by providing clinical leadership and oversight in a 60 bed skilled nursing facility. The Pines is located in Lyndonville, VT and we provide short term rehabilitation and long term care.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively share the vision of patient centered care and build effective nursing teams.
Minimum qualifications include:
Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Vermont with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working in long term care including 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
Proven experience in nursing leadership and management of day to day operations focusing on continuous quality improvement and patient outcomes.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Federal and State regulatory and compliance standards.
Previous Director of Nursing experience a plus, however, will train the right qualified candidate.
