Realities of Professional Pet Care
This is an active, physically demanding position. It involves frequent cleaning, lifting, walking dogs, working around loud barking dogs, pet hair, drool, cleaning chemicals, and pet waste. While spending time with animals is certainly rewarding, this is a professional animal care position—not simply playing with pets.
Important Cell Phone Policy
This position requires your full attention. Personal cell phones are not permitted on your person during your shift and must be stored in your assigned locker while working. Applicants who prefer frequent access to their phones during work shifts will likely not find this position to be a good fit.
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Application Question(s):
- To help us filter out one-click submissions and identify applicants who’ve read the entire job posting, please begin your response with the words “I read the entire job posting.” Then tell us why you’d like to work at The Pines Pet Pampering and whether you’re comfortable with our cell phone policy.
- Have you ever worked at or volunteered at a professional pet care facility before? (Vet clinic, shelter, boarding facility, etc)
- Will you be attending school this fall (including online classes)? If yes, please explain how your class schedule will allow you to consistently work the required shifts listed in this job posting throughout the semester.
- This position requires occasionally working short shifts on Sundays as well as splitting short shifts on every major holiday in order to care for our boarding guests. Is there anything that would prevent you from fulfilling that requirement?
