Overview:
The Pictsweet Company is growing We are currently hiring team members to join our Sanitation department on third shift. Sanitation Workers will keep production processing equipment/machinery and working areas of industrial establishment in a clean and orderly condition.
Responsibilities:
- Wash, scrub, hose down, etc., processing equipment/machinery (e.g. tanks, vats, conveyor bets, etc.) with water, soap, and cleaning solution.
- Pick up and remove (with a scoop and broom, not with a water hose) refuse, litter, discarded product, etc., from floors and transport it to proper disposal areas.
- Solids must not be hosed down drains.
- Water usage must be kept at a minimum.
- Wash walls and floors, as needed, with pressure washer.
- Clean lint, dust, oil, and grease from equipment, overhead pipes, and conveyors.
- Clean screens and filters.
- Will don personal protective equipment (PPE) before commencing work.
- Follows all safety guidelines set forth by Company.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Some formal education preferred, but not required.
EXPERIENCE: No previous experience or training required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules/signs, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures preferred, but not required.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
OTHER:
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 6 – 7 days per week
- Ability to work weekends, including holidays
- Ability to work rotating shifts, if necessary
