Overview
The Pictsweet Company is growing! We are currently seeking a Sales Analyst to join our sales and marketing team. The Sales Analyst will analyze retail point-of-sale (POS) data from multiple sources with the goal of helping our Sales team optimize assortment mix, pricing, promotional structure, and new product introductions while growing the Pictsweet Farms brand.
Responsibilities
- Data mines multiple sources to derive actionable insights and translate results into simple conclusions.
- Uses outside research firms to develop consumer, customer, digital, market & share performance insights.
- Provide secondary analysis of category and research data, in conjunction with assortment recommendations, for all sales activities.
- Objective analysis of Household Panel, Operator & Shopper data, delivering actionable insights throughout the organization.
- Assist and support Sales and Marketing teams by providing data to support business-building objectives.
- Creation of internal reports to provide readily available data and easily-generated insights.
- Support the development of insight-led business strategies to accelerate both revenue and profit growth.
- Creation and maintenance of external presentation materials for customer presentations, integrating insights gathered from relevant data sources.
- Provides support for all sales/marketing meetings & appointments; delivering insights and recommendations to support customer objectives and calm customer concerns.
- Provide category and shopper insights to management for strategic decision-making (Ex: Customer Acquisition, New Product Development, etc.).
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree in Business, Marketing, Mathematics or like discipline
- 1-3 years of data mining / analysis experience, preferably for a CPG manufacturer, broker or grocery retailer
- Strong computer skills, attention to detail, objectivity, strong organizational skills, good project and time management skills are essential
- Experience working with CPG point-of-sale analytics in retail channels (e.g. IRI, Nielsen, Spins) is desired.
