Overview:
Runs errands in connection with procuring goods/services and receives, stores and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials and equipment in industrial establishment.
Responsibilities:
- Receives written or verbal purchasing agent's orders for goods and services.
- Assists purchasing agent source/procure items to fill purchase orders.
- Drives company vehicle to purchase or exchange equipment, tools, parts, and/or supplies.
- Uses independent judgement in selecting which specific item will best satisfy facility's needs.
- Picks up, loads onto company vehicle, and delivers spare replacement parts, equipment, and expendable items used in facility to plant site.
- Checks articles picked up against invoices and records factors causing equipment, tools, parts or supplies to be exchanged or returned.
- Ensures accuracy of invoices prior to signing.
- Maintains daily activity log of stops, items purchased or picked up, etc.
- Services vehicle driven, such as checking fluid levels and replenishing fuel.
- Performs minor clerical work, such as filing, data entry, etc.
- Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
- Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
- Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.
- Receives, unpacks and stores incoming tools and equipment and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
- Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage or wear to manager.
- Repairs, services and lubricates tools and equipment.
- Delivers tools or equipment to workers.
- Marks and identifies tools and equipment.
- Maintains Tool Crib clean and organized as per schedule.
- Will perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE: One year experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules/signs, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Computer literate
- Ability to operate calculator, copier, fax and laminating machine
- Class C Drivers' License required
- Ability to obtain Forklift Certification
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
Salary : $40,000 - $60,000
