Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and plating dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, equipment, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed
- Handle manual lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment while practicing safe lifting techniques to prevent injury
- Provide excellent in-person customer service by delivering food to guests, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring guest needs are met with a friendly attitude
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when required for food running or guest transactions
- Support banquet and special event setups by preparing food stations and assisting with large-scale service needs
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with knowledge of food handling and safety protocols
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
- Familiarity with kitchen operations including cooking techniques, food preparation, and heavy lifting practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing supplies or equipment
- Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures to ensure compliance at all times
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
