Barista/Customer Service

The Pickle Jar is a small bustling neighborhood coffee shop looking for a friendly and dependable Barista / Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in great customer service, and has a passion for coffee and community. Hourly wage based on experience plus tips! Must be available to work year round, Wednesday - Fridays 7:00 am-1:00 pm and weekends 8:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, engaging manner
• Prepare high-quality coffee and espresso beverages
• Accurately take and process customer orders using a POS system
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment
• Restock supplies and follow daily cleaning checklists
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service

Qualifications:

• Previous barista or food service experience is a plus, but not required
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
