Overview
We are excited to be opening an opportunity for a Full Time Physical Therapist position at The Physio Room in Westwood, New Jersey. We are looking for someone for a Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility. (M-F 8 hour days, four 10 hour days). We spend the full time with our patients, one on one, for 45 minute sessions. Initial evaluations are scheduled for 60 minutes. We do not use aides or double book patients at the same time.
Our mission is to empower individuals with Orthopedic-related issues, so that they can perform in areas of life that are of significance to them. We are a small boutique Patient First practice, where we believe in building long lasting relationships with patients through trust, respect, and good communication. Our treatment philosophy is based on educating our patients, providing high quality hands-on manual therapy, and a blend of progressive overload strengthening, graded exposure to activity, and mobility exercises.
Our patient population is a mixture of patients with orthopedic related conditions that are motivated to get better. Patients that we are currently working with include: ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, patellar fracture ORIF, PCL tear, lumbar laminectomy, shoulder labrum repair, ankle fracture, frozen shoulder, knee replacement, shoulder pain, knee pain, low back pain, neck pain, and foot/ankle pain. Our patients are a grandparent staying healthy for their workout class, a young professional trying to get back to working out for stress relief, a young athlete working on getting back on the soccer field, and an individual looking for maintenance and prevention to live a healthy lifestyle.
We are looking for an empathetic and motivated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to be part of our collaborative team. As a member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in helping patients recover from orthopedic related injuries, surgeries, and musculoskeletal disorders through comprehensive plans of care.

Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough initial assessment of the patient’s current condition, medical history, functional limitations, and goals to make sure we can help the patient.
- Develop an individualized plan of care based on assessment findings.
- Help patients understand their journey through the practice to help the patient agree to a plan of care that they can commit to.
- Treat patients through education, progressive exercise prescription, and manual therapy techniques
- Monitor patient progress and plans of care as needed.
- Educate the patient and their families on home programs and injury prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Staff, Physicians, and others that are part of the patient’s care team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, re-evaluations/progress notes, daily notes, treatment plans, and billing information in accordance with regulatory requirements and standards of the practice.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct, HIPAA compliance, and patient care at all times.
- Market the practice through community outreach and social media
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- 1 years of outpatient orthopedic experience preferred, but new graduates with a strong interest and ground work in orthopedics are welcome to apply
- Valid license to practice in New Jersey
- CPR/AED Certification
- Strong ability to connect and communicate with patients
- Strong clinical thinking skills with manual therapy background
- Ability to work independently and be able to collaborate with a team
- Commitment to continue learning and better yourself
