The Phoenix Recovery Center is seeking a full-time Chef to join our residential inpatient team. This role is vital in supporting our mission by providing healthy, nourishing meals that contribute to our residents’ overall well-being. Our ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and passionate about creating a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prep, cook, and serve nutritious meals for our residential clients.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and health-department-compliant kitchen at all times.
- Shop for food and supplies while working within an established budget.
- Ensure dish-ware, equipment, and food-prep areas remain orderly and hygienic.
- Arrive on time and participate in all required meetings, trainings, and activities.
- Understand and uphold PRC policies and maintain appropriate boundaries with residents and staff.
Required Competencies
- Experience preparing and cooking meals for groups.
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a DHHS background screening through the State of Utah.
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills.
