Job Title: Legal Assistant – Real Estate
Location: Tallahassee
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with experience in real estate matters. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support to attorneys, managing calendars, document preparation, and electronic filing. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat is required, along with experience handling hard copy and electronic copying. Familiarity with comparing documents and redlining is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with real estate transactions, including the preparation and organization of documents
- Calendar and manage appointments, deadlines, and court filings
- Perform electronic filing with courts and other relevant entities
- Draft, format, and edit legal documents using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Handle hard copy and electronic copying, scanning, and document management
- Assist in reviewing and comparing contracts, leases, and other legal documents; redlining experience preferred
- Maintain organized files and ensure timely delivery of documents to clients and stakeholders
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned to support the legal team
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role, preferably with real estate focus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with e-filing systems and legal document management
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of document comparison and redlining is a plus
