What are the responsibilities and job description for the Craft Bartender position at The Pharmacy?
The Pharmacy , a semi-private prohibition and apothecary styled bar program, is looking for a Bartender to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, and spirits. Bartender duties include greeting customers, answering questions about our menu, making recommendations, teamwork to keep bar stocked for service, clean work habits, and providing accurate drinks. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience and be willing to expand your knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer and wine. Ultimately, you’ll ensure customers are satisfied with their experience and contribute to the establishment of a reputation for The Pharmacy.
Requirements:
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours, bend over repeatedly, reach overhead, use hands to finger wine and handle glassware
Duties:
- Greeting customers with a smile and an offer of service that matches their personality
- Answering questions about our menu
- Making recommendations for pairings based on the guests’ preferences
- Providing information about our drinks menu and answering questions about ingredients
- Assisting patrons with leaving feedback after each visit (this includes opening and closing the bar)
- Restocking all bar items regularly (e.g., glasses)
- Cleaning the bar area regularly ( before, during, and after service)
- Completing side work assignments as needed, such as clearing tables or polishing glassware
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.25 - $35.39 per hour
