What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Pharmacy Technician position at The PharmaCare Network?

The PharmaCare Network is a chain of independent pharmacies in and around Western Maryland. We are co-branded with The Medicine Shoppe. In addition to 5 retail stores, we also have an Institutional Pharmacy (filling prescriptions for nursing homes and assisted living facilities), an infusion nursing department, a respiratory department and a home medical department.
Pharmacy Technicians at Retail Locations - Our Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for filling prescriptions, checking insurances, etc. They work closely with our pharmacists to insure the products are correctly billed, filled and distributed. Requires: HS diploma or GED; must be registered with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy. Experience preferred, but not required.
Pharmacy Technicians at Institutional Pharmacy - Technicians are responsible for communicating with Assisted Living Facilities and Nursing Home Facilities. They fill prescriptions, run our robots, etc. Requires: HS diploma or GED; must be registered with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy. Experience preferred, but not required.
