What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at The Pettibon System?
We are looking for a highly motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position will include assisting with pulling and packing orders, building and assembling products as well as general warehouse tasks.
Position Responsibilities
- Pull, Pack, and ship orders
- Build and assemble inventory products and kits
- Report to Warehouse Management
- Count inventory and perform checks as required
- Learn/understand basic principles of inventory management
- Store and handle work materials and inventory product properly
- Maintain clean and orderly work area
- Assist with loading and unloading of product
- Separating/moving pallets
Minimum Requirements:
- Forklift Certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior warehouse and/or equipment experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized, and positive warehouse environment
- Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work full-time, 30-40 hours per week
- Attention to detail and good time management skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to meet production standards
- Basic computer skills, basic understanding of inventory
- Willingness to learn basic principles of accounting software regarding inventory control
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
