About This Role:
At The Pet Station Country Club, we turn the traditional boarding stay into a true vacation experience for pets. Our Pet Care Shift Leads provide hands-on, individualized care to each guest — from playful pups to curious kitties — ensuring every stay meets the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and comfort.
This is a fast-paced, active role ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional care, communicates clearly and professionally, and enjoys being part of a supportive, service-minded team that creates meaningful experiences for pets and their parents.
Please note that this is a department that operates 365 days a year, therefore open availability Monday-Sunday from 6:00am-9:00pm including all holidays is required for consideration.
Daily Responsibilities and Impact of a Pet Care Shift Lead:
- Oversee and execute the daily boarding schedule and department priorities
- Ensure individualized care plans (feeding, medications, monitoring, enrichment) are completed accurately
- Assess and respond to emerging health concerns, partnering with pet parents and veterinary offices when necessary
- Maintain and enforce human-standard cleanliness across all areas
- Monitor team performance and course-correct to maintain efficiency and safety
- Serve as the primary point of contact for situational decision-making during your shift
- Model exemplary handling, documentation, and sanitation standards
- Accurately document care and health observations in system
- Lead by example in professionalism, attendance, and adherence to company policy

- This department operates Monday through Sunday between the hours of 6:00a-9:00p, and we do require open availability for those times as we do not offer a set schedule due to the size and scheduling dynamic of the team. Do you have open availability for the hours listed? And are you comfortable with not having a set schedule?
- This department operates 365 days a year and all hours of the day, including holidays, so holiday availability is required for these team members. Are you available to work all holidays including major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas Day?

- Our Boarding Department is high-volume and can house over 130 dogs at full capacity, and we are responsible for every aspect of their care. Are you comfortable working in an environment that requires you to work on your feet in a consistently fast-paced manner that requires a high level of attention to detail?
- This position also requires a wide variety of cleaning responsibilities from cleaning accidents in rooms, doing laundry & dishes, and deep cleaning the facility as needed. Are you comfortable with cleaning continuously throughout the day in a capacity that will require bending, twisting, scrubbing, etc?
- The starting pay range for this position is $17.00-$18.00/hour, and our benefits include paid time off, health insurance, retirement plan assistance, and pet insurance. We also offer holiday pay on the 6 major holidays of the year. Are you comfortable with the starting pay range?
