Couples and Family Psychologist Job Opening

Job Type: Hourly Employee (W2) – Hybrid (2 days/week in DC office)

About Us

The Perfect Therapy Group (PTG) is a growing, private-pay mental wellness practice serving clients nationwide. Our main office is located in Washington, DC (Dupont Circle) and clinicians can provide telehealth services in the DMV area as well as PSYPACT-participating states.

Our team believes in providing tailored, high-quality care to our client population, which is focused on top performers and perfectionists. Sub-populations include athletes and third culture kids (i.e., immigrants, first- and second-generation Americans, ex-pats). The main clinical areas that our group treats are anxiety, perfectionism, sleep, sport- or performance-related issues, and multicultural concerns.

We want to provide innovative services that meet the needs of our community. A primary goal of ours is to help clients and staff members find sustainable ways to lead a driven, meaningful life with balance (i.e., preventing burnout). Our practice currently offers individual and group therapy services, and actively creates and disseminates evidence based tips and resources (via blogs/social media posts, and webinars).

PTG was founded by Dr. Vicki Anagnostopoulos, a former college soccer player and third culture kid (first-generation Greek-American). She previously maintained a busy solo practice for several years before expanding to a group practice in 2024 to meet referral demands. In addition to providing sought-after psychotherapy services to the community, Dr. Vicki has been serving as a business consultant and mentor for early career psychologists and has gathered significant business acumen over the course of her tenure as a practice owner.

The group’s vision is to become the “go-to” practice for top performers, athletes, and third culture kids. Additionally, we are aiming to develop a quality training program for post-docs and, eventually, doctoral externs. Our team currently consists of a licensed psychologist, 3 post-doctoral fellows, a certified life coach, and two administrative assistants. In the next few years we hope to add a couples and family therapist, a child psychologist, a medication prescriber, a psychological assessment provider, and a lifestyle medicine provider.

As a team, we value balance, transparency and feedback, humility and accountability, team strength, and mental agility. We want folks on staff who like to provide consistent, transparent feedback to continually improve processes, services, and workplace culture.

PTG is an ideal place for someone looking for a tight-knit team of therapists who love their jobs, work well with others, and value community engagement. Professional development and upward mobility will be available as the practice grows.

Job Description

PTG is now seeking a licensed, doctoral-level clinician to work with individuals, couples, and families. This clinician may also have opportunities to provide group therapy, supervise post-doctoral fellow(s), and community engagement (for example: participating in community tabling events, psychoeducational webinars, etc.). The position offers learning opportunities about business development for a thriving private practice and the mental healthcare space in general (e.g., tools for integrating care with medical providers) Additionally, opportunities are available to write online content (ex. blogs or social media posts). Providers certified in Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) are preferred.

Applicants with specialities in one or more of the following clinical areas are preferred: OCD, trauma, & ADHD.
