Key Responsibilities
- Support all stages of tax controversy and litigation, including audits, administrative appeals, and federal court proceedings.
- Draft legal memoranda, briefs, and submissions addressing complex tax and procedural issues.
- Conduct detailed legal research and analysis on domestic and international tax concepts.
- Collaborate with partners and colleagues on strategic approaches to high-stakes disputes.
- Engage directly with clients and government agencies on technical tax matters.
- 1–3 years of experience in tax controversy or tax litigation.
- Strong academic credentials with excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to approach complex tax problems from multiple angles.
- Knowledge of international tax or transfer pricing concepts preferred.
- Experience at the IRS, DOJ Tax Division, or a federal judicial clerkship is advantageous.
