Requirements of the Physical Therapist Private Outpatient
- We welcome new grads and experienced therapists.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from accredited college.
- Current Physical Therapist license in Georgia.
- We use Prompt EMR.
Growing private Physical Therapy clinic is seeking to add a licensed Physical Therapist to our team as soon as possible due to patient demand.
We treat patients of all ages, though the majority are elderly, so we are looking for a PT with experience in orthopedics and treating a geriatric population.
Our clinics provide the full spectrum of rehab services, and we allow our therapists to treat a maximum of 2 patients per hour. The clinic is outfitted with a gym and the usual PT equipment.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Evaluates and treats patients to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
- Provide direct patient care by evaluating functional needs and outcomes, recommending appropriate treatment, and adjusting as necessary.
- Conduct therapy practice within or exceeding defined standards of care.
- Direct and aid patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle re-education, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.
- Knowledge and understanding of physical therapy philosophy, basic anatomy, medical procedures and coding, exercise, and rehabilitation.
- Document patient records and provide updates as needed/as required.
- Direct the assistance of support staff in order to achieve the patient’s functional goals.
