The Department of Anthropology within the College of the Liberal Arts is seeking an organized, motivated, and intellectually curious individual to work as a full-time Research Technologist in a locomotion biomechanics laboratory.
The laboratory is housed at Penn State's University Park campusand conducts research on human locomotion and musculoskeletal biology.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing laboratory equipment, supplies, software, databases, and paperwork.
Assisting with experimental data collection from human subjects and cadaveric specimens.
Analyzing biomechanical and anatomical data collected from experiments, including writing new data analysis code.
Training undergraduate and graduate student researchers in lab techniques.
Assisting with writing human subject research protocols, research manuscripts, and grant proposals.
Research experience and/or coursework in biomechanics and coding is preferred but not required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree 1 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneA degree in one of the following fields or a related field is preferred: kinesiology, computer science, anthropology, sport science, physical therapy, physics, mechanical engineering, biology.
