The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a candidate fora Research Technologist- Life Sciences (Professional)in the laboratory of Prof. Song Tan in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* express proteins and protein complexes in E. coli
* purify proteins, protein complexes and protein/DNA complexes using low pressure and high performance chromatography
* analyze proteins and protein/DNA complexes by electrophoresis, spectroscopy, immunoassays and enzyme activity assays
* maintain written and electronic laboratory records
* assist with ordering laboratory supplies
* maintain laboratory equipment
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education. Required Certifications: NoneBACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

SALARY & BENEFITS
