JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking a part-time staff assistant to assist with various administrative duties at the University Park campus.Successful applicants require no experience as training for the duties will be provided.
Starting pay begins at $15-$20 per hour (based on experience), the hours of duty vary, and applicants must be willing to work 24 hours per week in-person at the Chemical and Biomedical Engineering Building.Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.Qualifications include reliability and flexibility.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Serve as receptionist as needed for the main office; greet visitors and provide information, answer TEAMS calls, provide assistance or redirect as appropriate.
- Process conference room scheduling, calendar and exam printing requests.
- Sort and distribute mail, prepare daily mail slips for outgoing mail, receive and send packages.
- Provide assistance to administrative team members in the preparation, processing/submission of financial forms and faculty wage payroll hiring requests (e.g., travel reimbursements, purchasing card reconciliations, group meals etc.).
