Pediatric Biller

Job Summary

As a Pediatric Biller, you’ll help keep pediatric care moving by preparing, submitting, and tracking accurate healthcare claims. You’ll work with medical records, billing software, and electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic health records (EHR) systems to support timely claim processing and clear communication with families and insurers. Your impact: Accurate billing and responsive follow-up help families understand account questions and help care teams maintain reliable records.

Duties

• Review patient records and verify billing details, health insurance information, and required documentation.
• Submit and monitor healthcare claims; investigate denials, correct errors, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Apply medical billing and medical coding practices, including Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9 and ICD-10), and diagnosis-related group (DRG) codes as applicable.
• Support medical collections and provide professional customer service when addressing billing questions.
• Maintain accurate records and use Microsoft Office, billing software, and EMR/EHR systems to document work and manage claims.

Experience

• Medical office experience and familiarity with medical billing, medical coding, medical terminology, and medical records are required.
• Knowledge of healthcare claims management and health insurance processes is required.
• Experience with EMR systems, EHR systems, or other EMR/EHR platforms is required.
• Familiarity with DRG, CPT coding, ICD coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 is required.
• Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a service-focused approach are important.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
