What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Security Officer position at The PEDDIE SCHOOL?
The Peddie School is seeking a Part-time Security team member to cover a combination of some weekday and weekend shifts. Prior Security experience is desirable but not required. This position will be reporting to the Security Supervisor and the Director of Security.
Responsibilities:
- Patrols campus and off-campuses residences on foot or in vehicle
- Enforces all school rules and regulations, which pertain to the safety and welfare of students and staff
- Routinely checks for unlocked doors, blocked entrances and exits, hazards and mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
- Must have knowledge of First Aid/CPR/AED
- Prepares daily logs and reports
- Responds to emergency calls, fire/police/medical
- Notifies campus administration, police, and/or appropriate emergency personnel of any emergency, potentially dangerous or unusual situations
- Assists with supervision of lunch and dinner periods and traffic duty during morning drop-offs
- Possesses awareness of the building procedure to follow in the event of an emergency and able to conduct evacuations
Schedule:
- Expected workload: 8-24 hours per week
- Shift Timings: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm / 3:30pm - 11:30pm / 11:30 pm - 7:30 am
- Starting salary starts at $19 per hour and will commensurate with experience.
- This position offers differential pay for overnight shifts
