Location: Tacoma, WA (Onsite) and surrounding healthcare facilities
Duration: 1 Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Pay Rate: $36.00/hour
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Lead / Technical Operations Manager to support a hospital-based technology deployment in Tacoma, WA and surrounding healthcare facilities. This onsite contract position requires a strong leader who can effectively coordinate technical teams, manage client communications, and ensure project objectives are completed on schedule and within scope.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to serve as the primary liaison between the team of technicians and customer leadership. This role combines project coordination and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a team of IT technicians supporting deployment and migration activities across multiple hospital and healthcare locations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between hospital leadership, project stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Manage project timelines, priorities, risks, and daily operational activities.
- Provide regular status updates, issue escalation management, and executive-level reporting.
- Oversee computer asset tracking, inventory management, and deployment activities.
- Ensure successful system imaging, hardware installations, software deployments, and user data migrations.
- Monitor service delivery quality and ensure support requests are addressed efficiently.
- Identify process improvements and implement operational best practices to increase project effectiveness.
- Facilitate team meetings, communicate project expectations, and remove obstacles impacting project delivery.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare and customer requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience leading IT deployment, migration, infrastructure, or technical support projects.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams in onsite environments.
- Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to interact professionally with hospital leadership, clinical staff, vendors, and technical personnel.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with asset management, desktop deployment, migration projects, and technical support operations.
- Healthcare IT experience is highly preferred but not required.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
