About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to join our Finance team. This role supports the full-cycle payroll process across multiple provinces and countries, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery, compliance with different levels of government regulations, and strong collaboration with the Payroll Manager.
This is a hybrid position—work onsite Monday to Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for employees across Canada, the United States, and other applicable countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with employment standardsFile and reconcile Workers Compensation reports and remittances in multiple jurisdictionsCalculate and verify EHT, CPP, EI, and other payroll-related source deductions, ensuring compliance with CRA and other authoritiesAssist with year-end reporting requirementsMaintain employee records and ensure payroll data integrity within ADPPrepare payroll summaries and reconciliations for review by the Payroll ManagerRespond to employee inquiries related to payroll & benefits with professionalism and confidentialitySupport audits, internal reviews, and other payroll-related projects as requiredAdminister the Employee Benefits Program, including employee onboarding, changes, and offboardingQualifications & Experience
3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-provincial environmentExperience or education in accounting is an assetStrong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and source deductions (CPP, EI, EHT, etc.)Experience with ADP payroll systems as an assetProficiency in Excel and general accounting principles is an assetCurrently enrolled or working toward the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is considered an assetHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality
Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, based on experience.
